Great day to our World wide viewing audience.

The M.O.B., Mama Love and the Godfather had a spectacular time in Denver this past weekend.

We want to give a special thanks to Chris Ellis, ( President of the Orsbc-Denver chapter), Greg Lopez out of San Diego, the Orsbc staff, the Oakland Raiders, and all of the members of the World wide Raider Nation that made this a memorable experience. We met a lot of wonderful people. Thanks to all of you who enjoy our 2011 MOB TV show. That means allot to us.

*Chris Ellis ( Raider Don) and his lovely wife and family, Carrie, Issac and Devon made us feel at home.

As a family man Chris is outstanding.

As a DJ, Raider fan and the one that Runs things in Denver, he goes far and beyond. We saw Chris in his own element, throwing down the beats as a DJ at 3 different locations. The Music he plays kept things going on Non-stop, and his work ethic and consistency to make sure all of the Raider Nation had the time of our lives, we all are in debt to Chris. And it payed off.

RAIDERS 23-DENVER 20

*Special thanks goes to Greg Lopez, (Raider Greg out of San Diego). Greg was Mama Loves and the Godfather’s partner in crime this past weekend. We rolled everywhere together. Greg got us a great deal on a full size SUV for all of our travel purposes. Donated wonderful gifts to the raffle, one in particular many of you will remember was the “Kenny-the Snake-Stabler” Alabama, throw back jersey. Very Nice. Greg helped Chris in every aspect coming to food, supplies, packing, organizing, cooking, both of those guys are “work-aholics” with P.M.A. ( Positive Mental Attitude). We are so honored to have these guys as part of the Raider Nation and as our good friends.

—–A Weekend worth remembering——

From the Tavern Sat. night, to greeting the Raiders team at the Westin Hotel followed up by another Raiders party with Chris as DJ, and ended with many of us dancing the night away at a pub called “The Grizzlys, what a weekend.

——-THE SILVER AND BLACK TAKEOVER TAILGATE——

Before game time the tailgate was at least 200 strong. I know because the first 100 fans received season ticket lanyards, compliments of the M.O.B and the Oakland Raiders. Those Lanyards went fast. The food was great, the Donkey fans around us had fun with us. The Godfather even got a “Guest Relations” employee of the Denver Broncos on the Microphone speaking in front of the masses. He was awesome and had nothing but good things to say about our tailgate and Raiders fans.

Chris Ellis and others donated many raffle gifts for the cause.

The Oakland Raiders sent their main camera man, Tony over to our tailgate for a group shot currently posted on Raiders.com under the Photo galleries-Monday night football link. Its a picture of the largest group shot in the parking lot, prior to the game. Chris Ellis, Greg Lopez and Mama Love are posted in front of that pose.

The Weather was gorgeous.

—-The Game itself—-

What a game. Here are my positives and criticisms.

#1. Congratulations to Hue Jackson, the Oakland Raiders team/organization and the World Wide Raider Nation. I am glad we went to Mile High ( Their New sponsor is Sports Authority Stadium) and came out with a victory in front of a national viewing audience-Monday night football. Beating Denver of all teams, a AFC West team to start the season is huge. When was the last time we won the first game of any season? The 2002-Super Bowl year?

*Plus, we broke Denvers 11 year home opener winning streak.

Oh yea did I forget we beat Denver lol

((Congratulations Sebastian Janikowski-Tying the all time record for a 63 yarder. That Kick had a few more yards on it.))

*When your kicker makes a kick that goes into the record books, you better win that game.

Once again, did I forget to tell you we beat Denver, lol?

*Our O-line overall did a wonderful Job for Jason Campbell. Those different offensive sets that Coach Jackson and Al Saunders put together had me smiling ear to ear. I was like, “would you look at this?”

*Our Defensive line is looking as good as I expected them to look. “NASTY”. All of our D-line had a good game led by Richard Seymour.

*Darren McFadden is Nails man. He has not missed a beat, and looks better then ever, as did all of our running backs.

*I tip my hat off to D.H.B, great game.

* Safety #27 Giordano, great game, way to ball hawk.

—–My criticisms—–

-Jacoby my brother, hold unto that ball. We spotted them 3 points early. But you did come back and redeem yourself.

Where was our pass defense toward the middle of the 3rd quarter and all of the 4th quarter?

We were blitzing alot in the first half. The second half the Raiders got away from that, going into more of a passive-zone coverage, playing LBs and DBs far off the line, giving away free yardage like it was a charity. That disgusts the hell out of me.

When you have a team down like we did at halftime, you come out and kill them. Don’t let them back into the game. My concern with Chuck Bresnehan as our D-Coordinator is he has had a tendency in years past to soften up on defense, late in games, when we have a small lead, allowing teams hope to get back into the game. That has to be remedied ASAP. Coach Jackson and Staff have to pressure our D-coordinator to stay with aggressive, defensive schemes. Especially late in games.

-Defense, watch the dumb penalties. Hold your water in the second half.

In Closing, what a wonderful experience everybody present had. This is a great start to a new year. We are excited. Buffalo is a whole-different monster. This will be a tougher game no question about it. If our Raiders tighten up that Pass coverage and do everything else, we will be victorious in Buffalo.

ON TAP: We will have the sights and sounds of Denver posted on 2011 Mob TV-episode #2 by weeks end. Plus, we will be sending out our press release for our traditional 66th Mob fan Send off at Oakland Raiders Hqs this Fri. 9/16/2011, from 11:30am-1:30pm.(Back Parking lot)

Stay Tuned

“MAY THE MOB BE WITH YOU”

Sincerely yours,

Godfather Griz Jones
