As Fans for Humanity involved with the Sport of helping people who support Charites, Schools, Sports and Businesses, this event was surrounded around supporting the Oakland Raiders 2012 NFL Draft picks in Making Oakland Better. Out of all of our many Charity events we host year round, this event made us feel like “the 2012 Football season is right around the corner”.

As the Raider Nations Hardest Working fans we want to congratulate the Oakland Raiders and the “Rookies” coming to Oakland Ca for the 2012 Football season. We hope these new players have an immediate and long term impact to bring back a World Championship to the World Wide Raider Nation.

Great day to our World Wide Viewing Audience.
Congratulations to our Oakland Raiders for the picks they received in the 2012 NFL draft. Lets hope these rookies can have an immediate and long term impact on the team. Obviously the main area of need is DEFENSE, which 4 out of our 6 picks was defense.

*Side note, the Month of April was a very busy month for the M.O.B. - 4 weekends straight we were non stop with events.*

Our Mob Alley NFL Draft Community day was incredible-”RAIDER FUN”.
Part of the fun that ties into hosting these events is during the preparation of these events: running errands, visiting sponsors, supporters, and last minute shopping needs.

This video is a 2012 M.O.B. TEASER, a “Heart Felt” tid bit of our show we will be posting on our M.O.B. Charities Network Homepage and Facebook this week, leading up to our next event, MAKING OTHERS BETTER IN TRACY, CA for our Charity Car Wash Sat. 4-21-2012.

MAKING OAKLAND BETTER wants to thank all who partaked in our “Humanitarian Excursion” earlier this afternoon. We were very fortunate the weather was gorgeous today in Oakland Ca. We gathered on Mob Alley for a good hour then our hearts were touched as a group of us stepped foot unto “Oiko’s University”. Our hearts were quiet and some of our eyes watered up when we saw the many displays of love, pictures of the deceased, flowers and many memorials.
As a group we prayed, shared thoughts and were totally humbled by the experience.
We will post our “Humanitarian Excursion- and our MAKE OAKLAND TAILGATE for the Oakland A’s.

*Afterward some of our core staff delivered Can goods, clothes and other essential items to Homeless people in East Oakland off of Edes and 98th Ave, as well as the Rainbow Community Center off of Seminary and International blvd.

Then as a group we will caravan down to Oiko’s University off of Edgewater in Oakland Ca to present our “Signed Display” and memorial. We will take time to pray and reflect on how short life is and how important it is we love each other and respect each other. We encourage everybody to please bring something signed, a picture, flowers, a teddy bear, etc to place at the memorial site. )))

*Afterwards your welcome to join us as we deliver can goods, clothes, blankets, jackets and various items to the local homeless population and needy families in Oakland, Ca. Please feel free to bring any of those donated items for the cause. THIS WILL BE A GOOD 3-4 HOUR STINT OF HONORING LIFE AND SPENDING QUALITY TIME WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS IN MAKING OAKLAND BETTER.

What an incredible weekend that just passed, starting at 7pm Thursday night. Our MAKING OAKLAND BETTER tailgate to honor those that were murdered at Oikos University and in support of the Oakland A’s WAS HEART TOUCHING. We were visited by at least 12-15 Media vans through out our over night tailgate coming as early as 7pm Thursday night - 4:30am Friday morning, going until 3 pm Friday afternoon. KTVU-Channel 2, NBC 11, KGO Channel 7, KPIX Channel 5, KGO Radio and KCBS Radio all made their presence felt and some of them came back 2-3 times for the cause.

We had many visitors ranging from the City of Oakland Workers, Oakland Police officers, representatives from Churchs, schools, people from the local businesses, some of our sponsors, people driving by, members of the World Wide Raider Nation and Oakland A’s fans.

Many signed the display in Honor of those who were murdered last week at Oikos University and many brought food for the potluck and several items to be donated to the local homeless population and needy families.
It was a heart throb and very humbling.

(((We also want to thank those that brought donation items for the Homeless and for any family in need. Our table was piled with food, can goods and beneath it cloths. )))

** THE M.O.B. staff welcome any volunteers this week to join us as we pay our respects to Oiko’s University and also pass out food/clothing items to homeless people and needy families.***
